Eatonville Town Hall begins with a beautiful story that dates back to 1880. Newly freed slaves settled in 1880, the men labored relentlessly in clearing land, banded together to build family homes, hotels, and a railroad system, and even planted their own crops and citrus groves. And on August 15, 1887, Eatonville became the first town governed and incorporated by African American citizens! Support this community with a simple visit and show of love!
